Black Baza Coffee

Black Baza Coffee is, first and foremost, and activist company. They are radical.
Their purpose is to enable coffee producers to enjoy secure and stable livelihoods and strengthen coffee farming practices that conserve biodiversity. They invite coffee drinkers to participate in the process.

They asked us to create videos for their first social media campaign.

But first, coffee.

Black Baza roasts some of the most interesting Arabicas and Robustas from across India. All named after wildlife that is very specific to the plantation it is harvested from. And the bottom line is: it is good for the forest it comes from, good for the people who grow it. Good for the trees we help conserve and the wildlife that it supports. And just as good to drink. We needed to draw their customers attention to just these cornerstones of their brand.

Here’s how: We started by asking the question: why do you buy coffee? Why do you love coffee? No one knows. One day you just get used to it and there's no looking back. Suddenly your day doesn't begin without that steaming, comforting cuppa in front of you. So we created a series of videos that would focus on the smell, taste, sound,  the heartiness, the emotion of coffee. And voila! Instant emotional feedback for Black Baza's new and devoted customers.
